What is Issue License?
Use this to manually grant a licensee (e.g. a known client or platform) permission to use your voice. You set the terms — type, price, and duration. They receive a license token they can use with the VoiceSeal API to verify authorized use.

Enrolling Your Voice
Step 1 — Record 3 samples
Read each enrollment phrase clearly. Use a quiet room, speak at your natural pace. Direct microphone recording gives the best biometric accuracy (95–100%). File uploads (WAV recommended) score 85–92%.
Step 2 — Review Enrollment Strength
The Enrollment Strength score measures biometric fingerprint suitability — not production audio quality. 85–92% is excellent for file uploads. MP3 files score lower than WAV due to lossy compression.
Step 3 — Voice is live
Once enrolled, your voice fingerprint is stored in our secure R2 vault. The platform begins monitoring across TTS and social platforms. Set your default license terms on the Licensing page.
⚠ Re-enrollment: If your voice card shows "Re-enroll", your previous enrollment predates our R2 embedding system. Delete the voice and re-enroll — it takes under 2 minutes and activates scanning.

How Scanning Works
VoiceSeal uses ECAPA-TDNN biometric fingerprinting to compare your enrolled voice against audio found on TTS platforms and social media. Each scan checks your voice against the platform's public voice library or recently published audio.

Alerts & DMCA Flow
When a scan finds a high-confidence match (≥90%), an alert is created in your Detections table. You have three actions available:
C&D / DMCA
Sends a pre-filled DMCA takedown notice to the platform's abuse/copyright team. Only available for Live API platforms where we have confirmed detection.
Approve as Licensed
If you recognize the use as legitimate, you can retroactively issue a license to that platform or user from the Licensing page.
Dismiss
Mark the alert as reviewed. Useful for false positives or matches you've already resolved outside the platform.
Estimated coverage platforms (LOVO AI, Coqui TTS) show presence estimates only — not confirmed audio comparison. Social platform alerts (Instagram, TikTok) may be unreliable if access was blocked. Do not file DMCA notices based solely on these results — manually verify first.

Licensing Your Voice
VoiceSeal gives you full control over who can use your voice and under what terms. There are two licensing flows:
Default Terms (set once)
Set your rate, permitted use, exclusivity, and duration per voice on the Licensing page. These apply to all incoming requests and pre-synthesis checks automatically.
Issue License (manual)
Grant a specific partner or studio access using the "Issue License" button. They receive a token to authenticate API calls. You keep 80% of all licensing revenue — VoiceSeal takes 20%.
Tip: Set your default terms before your first scan. Platforms that have integrated the VoiceSeal pre-synthesis check API will see your terms and can request a license automatically.

TTS scanning compares your voice against the platform's public voice library. This catches clones that have been published as available voices — it does not monitor individual synthesis requests made using your voice.

We search public content using your voice name and related keywords, download audio, and run real biometric comparison. When we find the right content: ~85–90% accurate. Limitation: keyword-based search means content posted without your name in the title may be missed.

Audio extraction works intermittently — these platforms actively limit automated access. Accuracy when working: ~85%. Reliability: ~50–60% — scans may silently return no results if the platform blocks access at that moment.
Important: Social scanning is an early-warning system, not a comprehensive monitor. A clone posted under a generic title with no reference to your name may not be found. Do not rely solely on a clean scan result as confirmation your voice has not been misused on social platforms.

These platforms currently show estimated presence scores only — not real audio comparison. Results indicate whether these platforms are active in the market, not whether your specific voice has been cloned there. Do not take action based on these results without manual verification. Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my scan say "No voice embedding found"?
Your voice was enrolled before our R2 biometric storage system was activated. Delete the voice from My Voices and re-enroll — your new enrollment will write the embedding correctly and scanning will work immediately.
Why is my Enrollment Strength score 85% and not higher?
85–92% is the normal ceiling for file uploads. The score measures biometric fingerprint suitability, not production audio quality. To reach 95–100%, record directly in the browser using the microphone option. MP3 files score lower than WAV due to lossy compression.
How often does VoiceSeal scan automatically?
Daily automated scans run at 2am UTC for all enrolled voices. Manual scans are limited to 1 per voice per 24 hours. Scale and Enterprise API tiers have higher scan frequency.
Can I send a DMCA notice for a "Limited" platform detection?
We strongly advise against filing DMCA notices based solely on Limited platform results. Limited coverage means we estimated presence without live audio comparison — false positives are possible. Manually verify the content on the platform before taking any action.
What happens when I issue a license?
The licensee receives a token by email. When they call the VoiceSeal pre-synthesis check API with that token, requests are allowed through. You can revoke the license at any time from the Licensing page.
How do I get API access for my platform?
Visit voiceseal.io/api-access.html to apply for developer access. Free tier is approved instantly. Paid tiers include webhooks, DMCA automation, and higher rate limits.
